ROBERT SCURFIELD is an acrylic painter born in Saskatchewan. He currently lives and works from his home in Winnipeg and from his cottage at Victoria Beach, Manitoba. His loose brush strokes add dimension to dappled light on forest floors and trees blowing in the wind. Each scene captures a moment in time. Leaves turn to warm reds and oranges, or long spindly shadows stretch through the canvas, creating a sense of time passing, crystallized by the paint.

Scurfield takes inspiration from his travels throughout Canada and abroad. His works balance between giving the viewer an immediate sense of place and instilling each landscape with depth. His paintings celebrate the magnitude and diversity of Canada’s natural landscapes. More recently recently Bob was proud and honored to have his art work shown at the Agora Gallery in Chelsea, NYC.
