Born and raised in Pine Falls, Roberta entered her first juried show at 12 years and at age 16 was featured in Dateline Arts Magazine as one of its ‘artists of the year 2000” article. She is a mixed media artist who loves to explore different mediums using them to create lively landscapes and floral as well as whimsical works.
In 2010 she was selected by jury by the Maison des Artistes and Heritage Canada for a collaborative Public Art Installation The Storybook Garden, which hangs in the Library Allard in Saint Georges MB. In 2012 she began working in schools across Southeastern Manitoba and Winnipeg doing integrated arts programming through the MAC ArtsSmarts programs as well as grant programs through Heritage Canada. This offered an opportunity to study in New York city, NY at the Lincoln Center Institute for the arts participating in their breakthrough Teaching Artist Development Labs.
She has worked with several schools with students ranging from kindergarten to grade 12 as well as doing professional development with educators. She graduated in 2014 from the Community Collaborative Arts Coordinator Program through ACI Manitoba.
