Born and raised in Pine Falls, Roberta entered her first juried show at 12 years and at age 16 was featured in Dateline Arts Magazine as one of its ‘artists of the year 2000’ article. She is a mixed media artist who loves to explore different mediums to create nature inspired paintings and more recently, ceramics.

In 2010 she was selected by jury by Maison des Artistes and
Heritage Canada for a collaborative Public Art Installation The Storybook Garden. In 2012 she began working in schools across Southeastern Manitoba and Winnipeg teaching integrated
arts programming through the MAC ArtsSmarts programs as well as community access grant programs through Heritage Canada and through this programming established several public art displays featuring the work of her students.

Her work in education offered an opportunity to study in New York city, NY at the Lincoln Center Institute for the arts participating in their breakthrough Teaching Artist Development Labs.

While teaching a term position last year, Roberta re-discovered a passion for pottery which inspired her to renovate her studio in Pine Falls, where she had previously taught mixed media classes, to allow her to offer pottery classes as well.
