I specialize in wheel-thrown functional pottery, creating mugs, bowls, and kitchen pieces intended for daily use. I am continually fascinated by the transformation of clay—how something as simple as mud can be shaped into an object that becomes part of everyday life. The wheel offers both movement and stillness, a place where hands, material, and rhythm meet.
My work is rooted in usefulness and connection. There is something meaningful about using an object that has been intentionally made, rather than quickly purchased and easily replaced. A handmade mug or bowl slows the moment down. It invites attention, care, and presence—turning an ordinary routine into something slightly more special. I value the quiet relationship that forms when something I’ve made becomes something someone reaches for every day.
The process itself is deeply soothing. The flow of the wheel calms my hands and settles my thoughts. Once a rhythm is established, the work becomes meditative. Pottery often mirrors life: no two pieces are identical, and perfection is neither expected nor desired. Subtle variations are not flaws, but evidence of the human hand and the moment in which each piece was made.
My work celebrates creativity in the home and the beauty of functional objects that are meant to be lived with. These pieces are made to be used, held, worn in gently over time, and to quietly support the rituals of daily life.
