Drew Perry
Drew takes photos, often of Lake Winnipeg’s shorelines and beach life (avian and human), to preserve and share the changes in light and seasons in our environment. The eye can sometimes use some help in understanding what it sees or wants to revisit again. That’s both the attraction and reward of a photographic life.
Taking photos is all about time and space and light melding with subject and object to make a new vision. Whether that vision has meaning may emerge or may remain mysterious, sometimes to one and not another; sometimes in the moment and sometimes only later. I like the experience of finding a place to stand on the continuum of meaning and mystery, where a unique and transitory coming together of the internal and external world can be present, for even a moment.
