• Artists will receive a timely acceptance or rejection notification from the jury.
  • Artists will provide within 10 days of acceptance:
  1.  1 high quality jpg image and a short (50 word) paragraph for the Guide
  2.   (Up to) a 500 word description of your artwork, contact info and photos for the website.
  3. Social Media information for promotion purposes.
  4.  Payment of the Tour fee:  $150 flat fee.
  • Artist must provide or make arrangements for tables, chairs, grids, etc. These are not provided.
  • Artists must be on site, setup, and ready on time, for both days for all hours of the tour: Sat from 10am to 5pm and Sun from 10am to 4pm.
  • Artwork must be original in concept, design and execution. It must have artistic merit and be of acceptable quality.
  • Artists must have sufficient stock to display and sell for the 2 days
  • Artists will have their work juried and must only display approved art medium
  • Jurors are anonymous. Their decisions are final and contested before the Board. The comments will be “accepted” or “not accepted”.
  • Artists will only share their space with other approved artists.
  • Displays from other organizations must be pre-approved by the Board of Directors of BSAT 90 days before Tour weekend.  No unapproved displays or messaging should be distributed during Tour weekend. 
  • Artists are responsible for picking up and returning all signage and materials on the Pick Up and Return dates
  • Artist will erect and remove provided signage for all individual studios and group locations.
  • All Private Studios must have their own Third Party Liability insurance and must sign an insurance waiver.  Boreal Shores Art Tour or any persons organizing the event will not be held responsible for loss, damage, or injury to any person or property.
  • All artists are responsible for carrying insurance on their own artwork to cover loss, damage, theft, etc.
  • The Board reserves the right to deny participation in the following year to any artist who cancels participation after the Brochure is printed OR who contravenes these guidelines.

*Financial assistance is available from the Rosemary Scurfield Memorial Assistance Fund to sponsor artists who cannot afford the fees themselves for various reasons. To apply, an artist need only address an email to the Board explaining their circumstances. We keep all information confidential, and recipients of the fund are not identified publicly.
