Evelyn’s life revolves around time spent on an acreage outside of Winnipeg and a cottage in the Whiteshell with her husband and two dogs, having recently moved on from years spent immersed with horses. Although this has been a significant life-change, she looks forward to a new chapter in her journey and in expanding her commitment to art. She is a self-taught artist, having enjoyed the experience gained from taking varied art classes, as well as participating in on-line artists’ forums. She has directed her focus by delving further into the mixed media art realm, primarily using abstract form. She employs the idea of creative “play” in expressing her ideas and in her use of a wide variety of mediums to explore and engage with the world around us.
