George Tanner is an award winning visual artist who lives and works at Falcon Lake, Manitoba. He paints mainly in acrylics or watercolours but also experiments in other media. His subject matter is varied and includes landscapes, focusing of the south Whiteshell area, abstracts and works from imagination, notably a continuing series illustrating the adventures of two recurring characters.

He is a long-time member of the Winnipeg Sketch Club and regularly participates in their group exhibitions. He also shows work at the cre8ery Gallery in the Exchange District of Winnipeg and is a member of the Winnipeg River Arts Council.
