I have always known I would do some sort of work with glass. I did not know when or how. When my kids were young and a glass or vase would accidentally break I would put the broken pieces aside to use in future mosaic pieces. By the time they were grown I had a few buckets filled with broken glass. In 2010, I came across a glass artist ‘s show in the Conservatory at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg. The artist was George Shannon. I called him about classes at his studio and found my where and how. George is an amazing glass artist, mentor and very patient teacher. A bit about me personally, I am a CODA, a child of Deaf adults. I have been using sign language my whole life. My career spanned 50 wonderful years. I have 2 children and 5 amazing grandchildren.
