I was always attracted to clay, I studied ceramics in Montreal at ‘’Centre de céramique Bonsecours’’ and participated in specialized workshops with professional ceramists in Quebec and abroad. I taught classes to adults and children in cultural centers. Participants could explore their own creativity and create pieces to be proud of. Over the years, I experimented with raku and horsehair techniques, played with engobes and vitreous slips. A nice way to experiment with colors and create unique pieces. Even if most of my work is done on the wheel, I am passionate about hand building. It allows me to let my inspiration flow without limits and the results are always surprising. After a career in tourism and event organizing, I started spending more time in the studio again. In the recent years, I have reconnected with my passion and found a new group of artists to be part of in Manitoba. The colors, the sun, the sand, the water and the peaceful tranquility is reflected in my work. I currently focus on stoneware clay and utilitarian pieces for every day and special occasions.
