I have worked as a teacher and principal and have always highlighted the importance of the arts to personal growth. I have worked with several schools through the Artists in the Schools program and the murals I have done with students are on display in several schools throughout the city. My fused glass work has been on display in several galleries in the city. One of the highlights of my career was organizing a student art exhibit at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and in Shenzhen, China. With the advent of Covid I have spent much time painting my favourite places found along the shores of Lake Winnipeg. I love to paint sunsets and their reflections on the lake or our local creek. The sky, land and water are my inspiration. My yard at the cottage is full of my creations- fused glass butterflies, flowers and birds, mosaics, murals, stone paintings and of course my ceramic gnomes which try to protect my flower garden from the incredibly hungry deer which often come to visit. My art is my garden and is in my garden!
